We can help you cater for all your Retrofit assessment, Designer and Coordinator requirements
Retrofit/PAS 2035
Coordination: Providing informed advice and support to contractors and consultants to engender understanding and teamwork in order to achieve the energy performance that retrofit requires.
Manage: We undertake the traditional role of a construction project manager in respect of planning, organising and managing projects towards delivery on time, on budget and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Retrofit Design
Some projects where energy efficiency or renewable energy measures are to be installed require that their design must be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent person. This means someone who has attained the necessary training and qualifications and is a member of such organisations as RICS, CIOB, RIBA etc.
The design of these installations can be carried out by a member of the My Green Home team with the appropriate skills and qualifications. The team consists of RC’s, RA’s a chartered surveyor and an architect. So there is very little in terms of design & PAS compliance that the team can’t deliver for it’s clients.
Retrofit Co-ordination
Any energy efficiency works required to be installed by a homeowner or landlord and who would like to be assured that the project being undertaken is carried out to a very good standard should engage with the MGH team. The highest standards currently are where trades / installers are registered with Trustmark and the RC project manages the job through to completion. The RC is a very accountable role and is a person who is responsible for ensuring compliance for all the PAS process and documentation. Every domestic retrofit project requiring compliance with PAS 2035 must be managed by a Retrofit Coordinator in accordance with the standards laid down in the regulations.
Typically our Retrofit team will: Liaise with the installer to review the upcoming project, consult the client agree and record the intended outcomes of the project. Protect the client’s and the public’s interest, ensuring that projects are safe, high quality and performing to their maximum potential. Oversee the retrofit process from start to finish as a project manager.
Ensuring appropriate integration and communication between teams. Sign off that the project complies with PAS 2035. Where competent to do so, a Coordinator may also fulfil the other specialist roles in the retrofit process. This depends on the level of risk involved in the project. So, whether you are a retrofit installer engaging in energy efficiency projects or a retrofit assessor involved in PAS 2030 or 2035 projects or an LA or other type of client contact us today. Our Retrofit team would be happy to discuss our ‘Partnering’ approach.
