MEES 2
Consider engaging with us so we can assist you with achieving compliance, using our MEES-Com assessment which would outline the following:
The MEES-Com is a service that takes the existing EPC for a commercial building, remodels it with the latest version of assessment software, itemises the measures recommended along with budget costs for the upgrade works to be done, it provides an indication on payback and the projected energy bills and savings. What this provides is the following;
- The appropriate retrofit recommendations are presented for the property,
- The impact upon the EPC rating if the recommendations were to be implemented.
- An indication of the level of inconvenience associated with the carrying out of the recommendations, essentially how intrusive the works would be
- Estimated cost for undertaking the works and estimated payback in years & months.
- Total energy savings over a 7 year period.
- MEES exemption status (considers if savings in a 7-year period are greater than the investment repayment cost).
-
- Some 80% of London properties need upgrading in order to meet energy standards/regulations
-
- They must have a C rating by 2028 and a B by 2030.
-
- It’s estimated that up to 20% of commercial properties are F or G rated and therefore non-compliant..
-
-
It will be illegal to continue to rent /lease properties that do not meet the standards from 1st April 2025.
